Are Home Theatre Systems Worth It?

Over the last century technology has progressed rapidly to make better audio and visual quality accessible to all. Today we view crystal clear images with HDTV, Blu Ray and DVD, and experience the most sublime music right in our own homes.

Home theatre systems and high quality sound systems enable us to enjoy music and films/TV to the utmost. Sound systems comprise of an amp and a set of speakers. The quality of the sound depends on the amplifier as well as the speakers, and where they are placed in the room.

The effect of the same sound system in different rooms is varying, because different spaces have different acoustics. There are many kinds of speakers, and while traditionally players have built in speakers, having free standing speakers around the room can enrich the listening experience.
